JOIN ME FOR a long weekend IN BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS, WITH TWICE DAILY YOGA AND MEDITATION, ALONG WITH DELICIOUS FOOD, FRESH MOUNTAIN AIR AND TIME FOR REST AND RELAXATION. WE WILL EXPLORE HOW TO CHALLENGE OURSELVES THROUGH OUR YOGA PRACTICE, HOW TO OPEN OURSELVES TO WHAT IS HERE IN THIS MOMENT, AND HOW TO FIND INNER STILLNESS WHICH CAN BE CARRIED BACK HOME TO THE CONTINUOUS MOVEMENT OF OUR LIVES.

Join me in 2022 for an injection of summer sunshine in this beautiful retreat space set in the mountains of southern Spain. Every day I will offer you two yoga and meditation classes where we will move strongly to stretch and strengthen our bodies, whilst creating the space needed to adjust the nervous system and gain perpective for lasting change and rejuvination. The morning session will be a strong stretch and strengthen class and the afternoon session will take the form of a yoga workshop so that you leave the retreat with a better understanding of your own practice on the mat, whether you are joining us a beginner or a seasoned yogi. In addition, enjoy delicious home-cooked organic vegetarian meals al fresco, a dip in the outdoor pool, a swing in the hammock with the book you’ve been longing to read, or simply star-gaze from the outdoor jacuzzi. This retreat will be small and intimate, offering both time to socialise and moments for quiet self reflection - the option will be yours. This year I am offering differing length retreats with one longer stay so that those who wish to take more time to explore the area, enjoy meals out or head down to the beach have extra time to do so.

Itinerary:

  • Thursday: Arrival from 2pm, welcome drinks, settling in, post-flight yoga, dinner, sleep-well meditation.

  • Friday: Morning yoga, breakfast, leisure time and lunch, Yin yoga and meditation, dinner, star-gazing and leisure time.

  • Saturday: Morning yoga, breakfast, leisure time and lunch, long yoga Nidra, dinner, hot tub evening.

  • Sunday: Morning yoga, breakfast, leisure time and lunch, meditation, dinner, sunset yoga and leisure time.

  • Monday: Morning yoga and meditation, brunch, farewells and departure by 1pm.

Accommodation:

Set in the rural mountains of East Andalusia, 45 minutes from Malaga airport, this retreat complex consists of 5 self contained buildings which surround the communal gardens and pool. You can choose to stay in either a one room studio which can sleep up to two people and has a bathroom and kitchenette, or in a bungalow which can sleep up to four people across two bedrooms and has a single shared bathroom and kitchenette. Each building provides exclusive outdoor space in the form of a roof terrace, balcony, or patio area which look out across views of the expansive valley.

What if I am travelling by myself?

Many travellers come solo and find they make long lasting friendships in doing so. Depending on your budget, you can either choose to take sole occupancy of a room or I will pair you with a like-minded traveller as your room buddy whom I will put you in touch with in advance of the retreat.

price includes

4 nights' accommodation in your chosen studio or villa space with private terrace, roof top or balcony area. Full board, twice daily yoga and meditation classes, use of jacuzzi and pool and welcome gift and drinks.

Flights and transfer costs are not included, however we can arrange group taxis. Optional extras include a rooftop massage and an honesty bar of red and white wine and will be provided for you to enjoy.

All prices are per person and a £250 non-refundable deposit is required on booking to secure your place.

about JULIET

Juliet is the owner of The Garden Studio in South London and aims to facilitate a sense of calm, spaciousness and inner wellbeing for her students through their practice. Her classes are challenging and empowering, both physically and mentally, and contain therapeutic elements to balance the nervous system and quiet the inner chatter of the mind. Using props and modifications, her classes are suitable for all levels as she provides a supportive environment for students to explore their movement at their own pace.
